Business & Technology Courses

Intro to Business

 

Students will develop an understanding of basic business operations. Core topics such as business ownership, analysis, and planning needed to start your own business.  This is a great class to kick off your Business studies.

Entrepreneurship - 

 

Business with a twist. Students will develop an understanding of basic business operations. But will do so by developing a real-life marketing campaign. Lets see who makes the most $$$.

Digital Media Production -
Want to learn how to utilize technology to make your life at school a breeze?  DMP will focus on letting students develop skills in word processing, presentation design, and audio/video editing. 

 

Digital Photography -
Learn the difference between taking a picture and creating a photograph.  Students will develop a Portfolio of work to demonstrate their mastery of ISO, Aperture, and Shutter Speed to showcase their best work. Other areas covered include topics such as Rule of Thirds, lighting, angles, framing, and composition.

 

Money 101

 

Take this course to learn about budgeting, taxes, investing, and potential careers for the future.  It is the class that teaches you about the "real world."  We all want to move out of Mom and Dad's house at some point.  Take Money 101 to figure out how to move out and become a millionaire all at the same time!

Business Leadership - Per. 5

 

Who is ready to win a State Championship?  Business Leadership will focus on students interested in competing at the State FBLA Leadership Conference.  Students will spend term 1 focusing on completing their Business Achievement Awards through the FBLA National Office.  We will be completing a Community Service Project for our Chapter, as well as begin developing State Level Projects for competition.  Students participating in Business Leadership are required to join FBLA.   Students have the potential to qualify for the National Leadership Conference in Baltimore, Maryland!

Marketing & Management (M&M) -

 

What does it take to be the boss?  How can you make informed decisions that will have a positive impact on your business?  Gain an understanding of the 4 P's of Marketing and how businesses promote their products.  

Intro to Video -

Who is ready to win a State Championship?  Business Leadership will focus on students interested in competing at the State FBLA Leadership Conference.  Students will spend the Second Tri working on a large project and presentation for the State Business Leadership Conference.  Students who place high enough at the State Conference will earn the right to represent Oregon at the National Leadership Conference in Baltimore, Maryland.

Graphic Design -

 

Business Leadership

 

Harness the power of Digital Design using various programs.  Graphic Design will focus on using both the Adobe Creative Cloud, as well as Inkscape.  Students will develop an understanding of how to harness the power of Contrast, Repetition, Alignment, and Proximity to develop dynamic projects.

 

Web Design - Per.

What does it take to make a dynamic web site?  How can you meet a clients needs when creating an online presence?  Using various tools from the Adobe Creative Cloud, students will develop an introductory background in Web Design and Mobile App Development.
